Technical Background and Developments

Adaptica incorporates the research and innovative technologies developed by a team of researchers at the University of Padua, (Italy) in the fields of optics and opto-electronics; in particular single photon communications with deformable mirrors, non-linear effects, ultra-short pulses and astronomical instrumentation design.

Adaptica used these skills to develop the core technology and then applied it to creating off-the shelf components: deformable mirrors, electronic controls, wavefront sensors and opto-electronic devices for the optimization and improvement of optical systems

Adaptica’s components and systems for adaptive optics are a solution in all those areas in which images generated by optical systems need improved focus, sharpness and optical quality, including in details. The Adaptica technology and lens system reduces distortions and aberrations, providing sharper and more defined images.
