Integrated Systems AO

The integrated adaptive optics systems are made of a deformable element that can be a mirror, an electronic control unit and a wavefront sensor.
Adaptica produces two different AO systems: Europa and Ganymede.

The first works in an open-loop fashion i.e., it does not incorporate a wavefront sensor, while Ganymede closes the control loop through this type of sensor.

Ganymede-P

Ganymede-P is the complete closed loop system from Adaptica based on the PAN deformable mirror and on the Mercury wavefront sensor (with the optional MMOS SDK). It is specifically developed for industrial R&D departments and university laboratories with main applications as: a didactical demonstrator for adaptive optics, image acquisition in time varying environments, and beam control in time varying environments

Ganymede-P

Europa

This system includes an electronic control unit (IO64 and IO32), a deformable mirror (Saturn or Pan) and control software.
Europe is the simplest of Adaptica’s AO systems because it is the only one that does not feature a wavefront sensor. This allows it to monitor and effectively modify the wavefront in an open loop.

Europa-P

Didaptica

Didaptica is the complete solution for teaching and learning adaptive optics technologies. It is based on Adaptica standard components and on all the mechanical/optical parts for testing and experimentation. This system enables you to learn the basics of optics and adaptive optics, increase your manual skills in the lab and easily create your own lessons with a Matlab based open environment (optional).
