Adaptica incorporates the researches and the innovative technologies developed by a team of researchers at the University of Padua, (Italy) in the fields of optics and opto-electronic.
During the course of academic researches and advanced optical designs, the team specialized in the integration of adaptive optics systems, in particular single photon communications with deformable mirrors, non-linear effects and ultra-short pulses.

Managment Team

CEO - Gianluigi Meneghini, degree in Electronics Engineering, and Master in Applied Optics at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova. Start up experienced manager, he is specialized in diagnostic system, mainly in ophthalmology applications. Great experience in design and realization of new instrument for primary company in the ophthalmologic field. He has many technical and managment competencies in R&D, project managment and engineering.

General Manager - Tommaso Occhipinti graduated in Telecommunication Engineering in 2002 at the University of Padova where, in 2006, he took the PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. After a Master in Telecommunication Economics, he started working in the Alcatel Italia marketing division. He collaborated for several years as a Post-Doc inside the University of Padova (inside the departments of Information Engineering and Astronomy) working on Quantum Information and Astronomy subjects. He took part to several international ESA - European Space Agency - and ESO - European Southern Observatory - researches and to a Project of Excellence CARIPARO.

Adaptica was incorporated in February 2009 within M31, the private incubator for innovative companies operating in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
